The Change

“From Idleness to Industry: A Journey of Two Brothers in the Lush South Indian Fields.”

Sudhir and Prakash were two brothers. Sudhir, the younger of the two, worked diligently in their fields, while Prakash was known as an idler. He often spent his time lying on a cot or leaning against a pillow, dozing or yawning.

Both brothers eventually got married. Their wives observed the situation for a few days, and soon, Prakash’s wife began to confront him. “Aren’t you ashamed of your idleness?” she questioned. “Must you let your poor younger brother do all the work?”

Before long, it became evident that Prakash had started going to the fields. In fact, within a few days, he proved himself to be a hard worker and an intelligent contributor.

Meanwhile, Sudhir was seen spending his time dozing and yawning, as his wife whispered to him, “Must you be foolish enough to work like a donkey while your elder brother enjoys his time at home?”
