In a certain city, there lived a Priest named Kuppa Dikshit who was trudging through poverty. Married, he found meeting his family’s needs a daunting challenge. Running on fumes of hope, this desperate man sought guidance from a fortune teller named Annaswami to shed light on his future.
A Fateful Prediction
After studying Kuppa Dikshit’s horoscope, Annaswami prophesized, “Well, Sir, you will become the father of a blessed son, and he will turn your luck around.” Despite the positive forecast, Kuppa Dikshit was apprehensive, equating an addition to his family with increased hardships. But, as the fortune teller predicted, he soon became the father of a healthy son. He named the boy Satyamoorthy and nurtured him with utmost care.
Extraordinary Abilities
As Satyamoorthy grew, Kuppa Dikshit recognised unique wisdom in his son, who quickly earned a reputation for prophetic wisdom. Satyamoorthy’s fame spread as his accurate prophecies attracted many seeking answers to their questions.
A Test of Truth
One day, Kuppa Dikshit decided to put his son’s gift to the test and asked him a question that reflected his deepest desires: whether their family’s economic struggles would persist or cease. Satyamoorthy responded with reason for optimism, confirming that their state of poverty would soon end.
Much to his relief, Kuppa Dikshit started profiting from his son’s abilities as satisfied seekers often offered a grateful token. Their lives began to improve, leaving behind the days of dire depravity. Even Annaswami, the astrologer, approached Satyamoorthy with his query, which was accurately predicted.
The Royal Call
Soon, Satyamoorthy’s abilities caught the attention of the King, prompting an invitation for father and son to the royal court. Kuppa, elated by the royal summons, hoped for a royal appointment. The King, intrigued by the stories of the boy’s gift, decided to test Satyamoorthy asking him to predict a series of events which the lad impressively foretold accurately.
A Heralded Victory
The King and his court stood in awe as Satyamoorthy accurately predicted all outcomes, validating his extraordinary abilities. Praising the boy for his truthfulness, the King rewarded him generously and appointed him as the Royal Soothsayer. And thus, Kuppa Dikshit was finally released from the shackles of his poverty, and he and his family lived happily ever after.
