Nobody Then!

The confrontation of loyalty and deception unfolds as Ram seeks justice from the unyielding Bhim, amidst the watchful eyes of their village community.

Ram and Bhim were friends. Once, Ram entrusted Bhim with a hundred rupees, saying, “Keep this for me. I shall claim it when the need arises.”

A year passed, and Ram approached Bhim with urgency. “I need the money now,” he said.

Bhim, feigning ignorance, replied, “Money? What money? I don’t recall you giving me a paisa! Do you have any witnesses to the transaction?”

Ram was shocked by Bhim’s response. Feeling betrayed, he took his complaint to the village chief.

The chief summoned Bhim to discuss the matter. Bhim maintained his innocence, claiming he never received any money.

Assuming a serious demeanor, the chief declared, “There were twenty people present when Ram gave you the money!”

Desperately, Bhim stammered, “No, sir! There was nobody then!”
