Greater of the Two
Indra, the King of Gods, and God Saturn engaged in a heated debate about who was greater of the two. “It’s clear that I am greater than you, being the King of Gods!” asserted Indra confidently. “Everyone, including the gods themselves, is afraid of coming under my influence. Therefore, I am the greater one,” declared Saturn.
“I am not afraid of you!” retorted Indra defiantly.
“Well, then, I will capture you tomorrow and teach you a lesson!” snapped Saturn, determined to prove his superiority.
The next day, before dawn, Indra entered a forest and concealed himself, hoping to thwart Saturn’s plan to capture him. As the day concluded, he emerged from the forest triumphant.
“Admit that I am greater than you, for you could not capture me!” Indra proclaimed victoriously.
“Admit that I am greater than you, for you were afraid of me and hid in the forest!” retorted Saturn sharply.
Indra fell silent, left with no response to Saturn’s cutting remark.
