I Have No Children!

In a vibrant South Indian neighborhood, Lokanath and his family discover hope through the resourcefulness of their young son, capturing the essence of community and family in challenging times.

Lokanath was living in a rented portion of a house. One day, the house owner approached him with an important announcement. “My son is getting married, and I will need an extra room for the couple. I know I am troubling you, but I would appreciate it if you could move out within a month.”

With the ultimatum in mind, Lokanath began searching for a new place to stay. Although many options were available, the owners were hesitant to rent to him. The reason was simple: Lokanath had four children, and potential landlords feared they would disrupt the peace of their homes.

Feeling stuck, Lokanath shared his troubles with his wife and children each evening, expressing his frustration over the unsuccessful house-hunting. One day, his resourceful eight-year-old son decided to take matters into his own hands and ventured out to ask for rental rooms himself. When he approached a house owner, the man looked at him with surprise and curiosity. “Sir, I have no children. I live with my parents and three sisters, one of whom is older than me. Will you take us in?”

The house owner was intrigued by the boy’s cleverness and asked him to go home and gather his family. With a newfound hope sparked by his son’s initiative, Lokanath realized that sometimes the innocence and creativity of children can lead to unexpected solutions in difficult times.
