Either Act or Talk
Bhanu Singh, the wealthy landlord of Sewansagar, was so fond of his own voice that he never stopped talking. If you met him, he would pose some questions to you, but before you could answer, he would respond himself—there would be no pause in his speech! But who would dare to warn him against his useless chatter? He easily became angry.
One day, he camped on one of his estates. Nearby stood a hill, and he felt an urge to climb it. Near the base of the hill, he saw a villager. “Let’s walk!” said Bhanu Singh, “I will tell you how mountaineers climb hills.” He began lecturing the villager, but soon gasped for breath and had to sit down.
”Sir, either you speak about the hills, or you climb them,” the villager calmly advised. In that moment, Bhanu Singh realized a great truth: those who take action do not lecture much about it.
